10th Anniversary Tour
Our Tour started at our usual beginning in March for the Sixth Annual "Bull Riding on the Beach" in beautiful Granbury, Texas. Once again we filled the bleachers with enthusiastic bull riding fans. Our Granbury stop is one of the most popular among the bull riders as we boast nearly one hundred entries from seven states. Weather was most accommodating and we had a great bull riding once again. The "Bull Riding on the Beach" is held in conjunction each year with the Annual General Granbury Birthday Celebration the last weekend of Spring Break. Great rodeo action was seen by the crowds at all three arena events.
March "marches on" and took us to Tour stop number two, The 24th Annual Texas Music Revolution and Rodeo in Plano, Texas. 2019 guests were entertained by headliner music acts with the likes of LeAnn Womack and Robert Earl Keen as well as some really good bull riding action. The crowds followed an ever changing music format on two different stages set up in Oak Point Park with the Chute 2 arena in the middle of them. Four different sections of bull riding entertained crowds throughout the day and into the evening. The combination of Music and Bull Riding was well received by "standing room only” crowds.
Onward to April and our Second Annual Wylie Baptist Bull Riding in Wylie, Texas. Each year at Wylie Baptist Church we host a live bull riding the Sunday after Easter. "You can get people to attend church on Easter, but how do you get them to come back the next week?" say's Pastor Chris Segres," we're gonna have a Bull Riding!". To continue his commitment to this great event Pastor Segres has gotten on a bull every year and has plans in 2020 to have a " Church Staff" bull riding competition during the Pro Show Event.
The good weather we had been experiencing finally gave way at the Third Annual Lone Star Shootout in Nevada, Texas. Three hours before the first event we experienced two inches of rain at the Lone Star Cowboy Church arena. The rain did not dampen the spirit of competitors or the crowds because the bull riding went on as scheduled. The Cowboy Church had brought in sand so the arena was fine and the bull riding fierce. Venders and Kid Zone went on as well with great food and fun.
Our Fifth Stop brought us full circle to the Tenth Annual Haslet Wild West Fest in Haslet, Texas. Chute 2 got its start ten years age here in Haslet. The annual event in Haslet has grow as well boasting one hundred vendors, a carnival and all the arena activities. At our last year's show Ednei Caminhas PBR World Champion from Brazil won this prestigious event. Haslet being the oldest and most established show we do has grown into the most attended spectator and competitor alike. The bull ridings at this show have always been the most competitive.
Summer heat lead into wonderful fall weather and Chute 2's Tenth Anniversary Tour fired back up at our hometown 35th Annual Springtown Wild West Fest in Springtown, Texas. Again one of our biggest Festival , Springtown boasts some 200 vendors, an hour long Parade and three stand alone arena events. Good weather brought the crowds back out in full swing.
Moving down the road thirty miles to the Seventh Annual Bull Frog West Fest in Lake Worth, Texas. The Northwest Tarrant Lions Club hosts this annual event in the Lake Worth Community Park. The Lake Worth area mascot is the Bull Frog and true to form the Lions Club have always hosted "live" Bull Frog races in the arena prior to the Bull Riding. This event has been a fund raiser for the Lions Club to help needy children in the area with everything from eyeglasses to fun days out at the local movie theater. Bull Riding excitement didn't disappoint as we saw some of our best and highest marked rides of the year here.
Rounding out our Tenth Anniversary Tour is the Princeton Fall Fest in Princeton, Texas. Our third year to be in such a booming small Texas town. Princeton hosts several local events each year but none quite like the Fall Fest. Vendors and live bull riding are all the excitement in the Community Park that was once a POW Camp during the World War. Contestants fill this last event of the year for one last shot at positioning for the World Finals. Sometimes World Championships are decided at the Princeton Fall Fest depending on the outcome of the Event.
